Federal Statutes To begin to develop a quote for
research on Federal statutes we must know the goal of the research. There are
two common ways to approach Federal Statutory research . 1. By focusing research
on the pertinent history of the Congressional Bill enacted as a Public Law,
we will provide a broad overview of the Congressional enactment. The scope of
this sort of research is predictable in advance, so quoting a fee is fairly
simple. The disadvantage of this approach is a broad overview will not
typically provide much detail about specific parts of the enactment. 2. For most litigation
generated research it is more productive to focus on particular language or
concepts in a particular code section. Focusing on particular language
produces a much more focused, and usually more useful result. However, when
focusing on particular language the scope of the research is often more
difficult to predict in advance, as the language or concepts may have
developed in a number of different bills, often dating back into prior sessions
of Congress. Our quotes for Federal Statutory
focus on how many enacted Public Laws we will be researching, and will
typically fall within the following ranges - 4 weeks turnaround - $300 to $600,
per public law Typically focusing on the public
law, as discussed in 1 above, will produce a quote at the bottom of the
range, while focusing on specific language, as discussed in 2 above, produces
